‘Light India 2014’ event at Pragati Maidan commences today

Light India 2014 - Leading Lighting Exhibition, Lighting ...Thursday, September 18, 2014: Light India 2014, India’s largest B2B trade fair event, designed exclusively for the lighting industry in India is all set to illuminate the city from today onwards at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The event is scheduled from 18 September till 21 September and has been organised by the ELCOMA and Messe Frankfurt India to give a broad outlook to the participants of the new arrived technologies and applications in the energy saving LED lighting products.

The event invites designers, architects, developers, building contractors, light engineers, government decision makers and project planners to give them the in depth opportunity of interacting with the leading manufacturers, suppliers, etc.

It will help the professionals to know about the existing market opportunities in the lighting segment whilst displaying the range wide range of products and technologies from over 200 exhibitors occupying almost nine halls in Pragati Maidan. The foreign participants in the event are from China, Italy, Japan, Spain, Korea, Taiwan, Russia, UAE, Turkey and UK.

With an aim to have more applications of the new technology in lighting, various conferences and workshops have been organised by the esteemed industry leaders. The list of organizers involve, The Indian Institute of Interior Designers (IIID), International SSL Alliance (ISA), Global Lighting Association (GLA), Business of Lighting and The Energy & Resource Institute (TERI) mainly emphasizing over the growth and benefits of the lighting business.

The trade fair will commence with an inaugural session on the first day at Hall No. 7, 11 am followed by a workshop by The Energy & Resources Institute (TERI) on Environment and Off-Grid Lighting at 1:30 pm, Hall No. 8 which will be likely to draw attention of the Indian stake holders in energy conservation. This will be carried forward by a Light India’s Exhibitor’s Night giving them a chance to interact in further diversify this sector. In the course of the event, IIID and ISA will address the exhibitors in a conference on 19th and 20th September. A host of experts and industry leaders from Sourcing Electricals & Lighting will also organise a conference on the 20th September on ‘Business of Lighting’ which will be followed by dinner.

After an inaugural session in Hall no. 7 at 11 am, there will be a workshop by The Energy & Resource Institute (TERI) on Environment and Off-Grid Lighting at 1:30 pm in Hall no. 8 which will focus over the Indian stake holders in energy conservation.

This will be followed by Light India’s Exhibitor’s Night giving a chance to converse in further expanding this sector. On 19 September and 20 September, IIID and ISA will interact with the people in a conference. Erstwhile, Sourcing Electricals & Lighting will also organize a conference on ‘Business of Lighting’ on 20 September, followed by dinner. The entry is free for business visitors with a card.
