Indkal Technologies Partners With Acer For Smartphones

Indkal Technologies plans to launch Acer-branded smartphones in India, aiming to leverage Acer’s brand recognition and manufacturing expertise to capture a significant market share.

Indkal Technologies announces its entry into the smartphone market under a trademark license agreement with Taiwanese electronics company Acer. This strategic partnership marks Acer’s debut in the competitive Indian smartphone market. Indkal leverages Acer’s brand recognition and manufacturing expertise to capture a significant share of the Indian smartphone market, while Acer gains a foothold in a rapidly growing market.

Indkal plans to launch smartphones in a price range of ₹15,000 to ₹50,000, featuring high-end processors, advanced camera technology, and premium features, all designed and manufactured in India, aligning with the government’s ‘Make in India’ initiative. The company aims to build an initial capacity of assembling a million smartphones per year, with plans to scale up production and apply for benefits under the production-linked incentive (PLI) scheme. This venture signifies a major computing brand entering the Indian smartphone market, highlighting the segment’s immense growth potential.
