Friday, November 14, 2014: Humiseal, the conformal coating company with its head quarters at the United States, is planning to establish its manufacturing unit in India soon. The Humiseal developed conformal coatings are mainly used to protect automotive electronic assemblies. This material is applied to electronic circuitry for providing protection against moisture, dust, humidity or damage caused by insects, chemicals, and temperature.
Presently, the Indian automotive industry imports the coating products via Pune-based Drive Technologies, which is a channel partner of conformal coating giant Humiseal. The Automotive electronic assemblies are considered to be an important aspect of both functionality and reliability of modern automobiles, these assemblies are places in ever more demanding end-use environments, owing to the risk of extraneous factors like humidity, salt-spray and others.
Also, conformal coating has evolved as one of the most crucial methodologies requested by OEMs and has been used by Tier 1-Tier 3 automotive electronics suppliers, in a way to prevent corrosion of assemblies used within.
HumiSeal supplies conformal coating to protect electronic assemblies in the sectors like industrial control electronics, renewable energy, military and aerospace and consumer electronics. It currently has its production plants across US, England and Japan. India being a major destination for electronic assembly based products has been considered as a lucrative option to set-up plant by the company. It has also conducted few feasibility studies in southern states for setting up greenfield manufacturing plant.
