Monday, November 24, 2014: Anchor Electricals, a Panasonic group Company since 2007, launched a stellar range of 276 Professional LED Luminaires for commercial & hospitality premises. This is Anchor’s first major venture into the Professional LED Luminaires spectrum in India following its entry in the already expanding residential LED luminaires in 2013. It aims to rise as a leading lighting solutions provider in the Indian market by FY 2018 with market sales to the tune of 4.25 billion INR plus.

Continuing its ongoing vision of adding new values to create a smart lifestyle switch Anchor has unveiled this new range, keeping in mind the rising need of breakthrough energy-efficient Lighting Solutions for the commercial and hospitality premises, thus addressing the challenge of energy-conservation in a power-strapped India.

Speaking at the venue Mr. Kiyoshi Otaki (Managing Director Anchor Electricals) mentioned, “The new product lineup focuses on offices and retail segments and features product series aimed at the varied commercial & professional Indian spaces.” While the SmartArchi Series incorporates high-end architectural luminaires, the PROiD Series offers several options in integral-type LED base lights. Along with this new range, Anchor also offers a cutting-edge, energy-saving Lighting design and solution to architects, designers and interior coordinators using Panasonic’s independently developed spatial brightness measuring tool, Feu.

The SmartArchi high-end architectural luminaires base their premium on the quality of light and through realizing high quality lighting design. This made-in-Japan series with the concept of “Giving freedom to architecture” features a total of 92 models; aimed at a wide range of commercial premises, including LED down lights, LED base lights, and LED spotlights. The range obtains a distinction due to superior functionality and premium styling, sizing, brightness and tone.

54 models of the PROiD Series of LED base lights, incorporating the light fitting itself with the light bar, are unveiled. By combining the actual light fitting with the light bar, a wide variety of model variations are made possible. They achieve a specific power consumption of 113 lm/W (assuming a color temperature of 5000k), an improvement in efficiency over the old fluorescent lights. Sleek yet simple design with no screws or latches on the surface height of 58mm (for the V-shaped types), they render a slim look when fitted to the ceiling.

Mr. Ashok Gangar Vice President Sales & Marketing Anchor Electricals mentioned, “Anchor’s endeavors to deliver best-value-for-money options with unparalleled quality continue with the LED Lighting too. The Best-Buy LED lighting range comprising of 130 Products such as LED down lights, LED base lights and LED spotlights has been introduced, keeping in mind conscious demands and trends of the Indian market and consumers while maintaining world-class quality and functioning that Panasonic is renowned for.”

Mr. Yoshiyuki Kato (Director Lighting) mentions, “In spatial lighting design, at times it was difficult to gain an accurate evaluation of brightness with the standard measurement of lux (luminous flux per unit area). Panasonic has dealt with this by developing and making available its Feu light index (software) to express brightness in space according to how it is perceived by humans. Combining SmartArchi as the product (hardware), focused on light, design, materials / quality and space, with Panasonic’s Feu light index (software) offers new value to architects, designers and interior coordinators.”

Panasonic as world’s third largest lighting company will add value to individual lives through its business ventures catering to the needs of consumers in every space. Through this new range, it intends to illuminate offices, stores and all types of facilities with better quality lighting products that help address the challenge of energy consumption in India.
